FANTASTIC! Kev at Kaveman Aquatics is the only go-to for any and all Cichlid and aquarium needs or questions. If you can’t find the answer or what you need in Kev’s books, articles, or videos—then it’s not important. He covers everything starting with you looking at an empty glass rectangle to you having a fully stocked tank up and being beautiful. His book is an A to Z map of all you need to know cichlid and his videos show the step by step back-up. No one out there even close to Kev in taking care of Cichlid tanks. Also a side note shoutout to Kev: Thank you sir for your service!

Hi Eben, Sorry to hear the frustration you have in this review. Orders are processed and shipped as soon as possible but I can not control the delivery speed of your local UPS hub.

Your order was placed on Friday, Sept. 1st before a long 3 day holiday weekend. Your order was processed and shipped on Wednesday the 6th, 2 business days after placing your order. From that point on I have no control over UPS.

I apologize that you received the review request email before the book arrived. Those are sent automatically on a schedule that doesn't account for orders placed before a long holiday weekend.

But I hope that when the book does arrive you can revise your review to reflect the quality of the book and its content and not on the shipping speed due to the holiday and your Local UPS hub which I have no control over.

Shipping/delivery notification

One day after I placed the order, I got an 'out for delivery' notification. The shipment hadn't even been processed yet, let alone left the warehouse. Delivery means delivery to my door is imminent/ by end of day. I was disappointed for having to wait several days after getting this notification for it to actually ship and be delivered.

Hi Mick, I apologize for the book not arriving when you expected it. Sometimes there can be delays at the warehouse or from your local carriers, which I don't have any control over. Now that you have the book, I hope you find it helpful in your journey! I would love to read an update to this review on the contents of the book when you get the chance.

MUST READ for beginner African cichlid hobbyists!!

Kev is great man!! Support him and buy this book, not only cuz it’s great material, but because he deserves all the support we can give him! He covers just about all the basics you will need to know. Also check out his YouTube channel at KaveMan Aquatics! He’s the best out there and very thorough and explains things well!

Liked: Kev covers all topics and pro tips in the African Ciclid fish keeping hobby. The reading is simple and to the point. The information you will learn from the book will last a life time!

I highly recommend this book to any African Cichlid keeper especially if you are new to these type of fish and have many questions. You will learn so much!
